How was your Xmas this year?
LA was fun... lotsa shoppin.. and of course a trip to Cheesecake factory & Farmers market which was magical... i'm told it's one of the prettiest parts of downtown LA & i do agree.
Sunset over Farmer's market
We try to act cute but only the real japanese pulls it off ha.
Pigging out at the cheesecake factory!
But if LA was good, then tokyo was much betta... the christmas lights downtown & the superbly fashionable people milling around... what a feast for the eyes! The shopping was mind-boggling & i bought so much stuff i had to sit on my bag to close it.
Emi-chan brought us to eat Gyu-kaku... apparently there's an outlet here too... the beef was fantastic.. the best i've eaten. Imagine a thin slice of succulent fatty beef cooked to tender perfection then drenched in garlic butter... oooh.
The next day we head to Ueno first to join in the pre-festive great sale where u can find anything u wanna eat... hordes of people buying food & eating food... we buy huge huge bags of japanese tidbits!
Christmas eve at Shibuya & harajuku... i LOVE the place!
Tried to conquer the famous Shibuya 109 tower where every floor is crammed with shops selling ladies wear/accessories/shoes/bags... but alas, even i had to surrender at the 3rd floor because it was just too overwhelming.
Besides i love being outside & just soaking in the atmosphere... really nice
Japanese make everything so cute... check out their lighters!
Kawaii no? They even have satin pink cigarettes :) Interesting trip i had.. will update soon!
