Listing of all film screenings everyday... this is just half of a day's screenings! We managed to catch Il Caimano (great film & oddly touching for me), Over the hedge, Summer palace, Fast food nation and some other mediocre films.

Screening tickets to the official selection films... many people would hold up placards outside the Grand Lumiere theatre & ask for tickets & one even tried to grab mine outta my hands. scary. For the evening screenings where the dress code is evening & bow tie, it was no surprise seein guys all dressed up in tuxedos & gals in evening dresses asking for last minute tickets at the entrance to the red carpet. The things that people do!!

At my fave restaurant in Cannes. the food is amazing there. Reservation obligatoire if you want a table near the street. We were 2 sane human beings enjoying each other's company & soakin in the frenzied atmosphere.

I wanted to check out this boutique but i guess the owner had more important things to do!

A happy me enjoying the sunshine! it was a whale of a time in Cannes & we're thinkin of goin back again next yr.

Cannes film festival

cannes fever*

I'm back after a long break! For 2 weeks we slept well - 10hrs for me everyday :P, ate well, drank well (cheap and good wine!)... it was enough to recharge dearie for his upcoming projects. And for me to start planning the next break hohoho!

For 2 weeks every year, Cannes is where celebrities, film parties, luxury yachts, limousines, paparazzi, fans & tourists congregate for the biggest film festival of the year. And this yr was no different. We landed in a flurry of activity but managed to come out of it rejuvenated & happy.

The weather was fabulous - sunny with strong cool winds & the crowds were testament to the charm & appeal of Cannes. i've a truckload of pics but there's simply no time to collate them together so i'm just gonna dump some here.

security is tight everywhere, here is one lookin after the media van for a french TV station.

some actress which i dunno.. could be ludivine sagnier but i'm really outta touch :P

the film market pass gets you into all the film screenings including gala premieres (thats where mere mortals like us can walk the red carpet too) and access to all areas. Get one if you want to have any fun at all in Cannes.

more celebrity sightings... but don't ask me who they are cos i have no clue. all i saw were them being whisked away into huge limousines with darkened windows and the paparazzi had a field day snappin away. oh yeah, porches and ferraris were so common there, no one even took a second look at them.

i escape from the madness to do some shoppin.
