A beautiful spring weekend.
Place de la Concorde, 1756hrs.
The air was heady with the anticipation of summer, in the distance was a protest held by motorcyclists, and the obelisk stood testament to it all.
One of the best I've ever been to in Paris... the restaurant at the Artcurial auction house. The food was excellent & the plants reminded me of the ones we have at home... I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris. And auction houses here are actually great places to source for authentic vintage furniture at a price you are willing to pay.
Enjoying the sun with Irene.. I was happy to catch Ai Weiwei's first major photo exhibition.. Allowing us a glimpse into the real social conditions of China thru his photos & blog, he is a brave critic of the Chinese government which led him to be imprisoned last year.
One of the photos on display - him dropping a Han dynasty urn on the floor. The authorities closed down his blog & ransacked his studio but luckily the exhibition photos were already safely selected. His photos moved me in ways I never expected.
On the street.. A strawberry dress in a fruit blender = Moschino cute x
