Sunday brunch

Epicurious at Robertson quay serves up one of the best eggs benny I've ever eaten...
The right touch of sour, semi-runny yolk, delicious buttered crumpets!

The coffee was nothing to shout about but I'll come back again just for the eggs benedict :)
After I said goodbye to Céline, had to go back to the office and finish up some work ahead of the holidays :/

mani-curious

Lovely little manicure salon + cafe + retail space along Beach Road.

And the pies are to die for.... they all look so good.

Finally settled on my all-time favorite.
When in doubt, always take lemon!

Ann Siang Hill

Old Chinese shophouses can still be found in the heart of Singapore.

Our Korner @ Scarlet... Some of the best fusion food in the area.

Quiet place for brunch on a Sunday.
Love the high ceiling and Havana flavor.

Tapas & cocktails with old vintage tiles.

I love the Club Street, Erskine Road, Ann Siang Road area where you can find many rooftop bars...
They offer a great view of the city without the opulence of their high-rise counterparts.
There's my office in the distance and a full moon...

Lemon pie & girl talk

I love sitting outdoors at this cafe... the huge plant is always a wonder to behold.

Delicious sour lemon pie with a buttery crust.

Feeling happy cos Monday blues have been annihilated with the public holiday tomorrow!
See you soon x

TGIF

What better way to end a Friday than to have drinks & tapas with your girlfriends!

At Catalunya... a new Spanish restaurant on the bay.

Great service, great company!

Have a great weekend x

Pick-me-up

One way to escape the crowds on a Saturday, especially at my fave cafe, is to wake up extra early for breakfast.

Good coffee & banana pancakes
Hope you have a lovely weekend x

Good solid ground

A great afternoon tea today with my gfs... cant believe I've never been to PS cafe in Ann Siang Hill.. Quiet and bursting with the usual bouquets, it was a quiet respite from the city bustle around the Amoy Street food center area, where one of them works.

These days I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Relief & gratitude.

"Rock bottom is good solid ground.. and a dead end is just a place to turn around."

Wise words to live by x

Avatar maybe?

I finally had the time to check out Gardens by the Bay the other day.

The Cloud Garden was simply magnificent. A work of engineering genius, it strived to mimic nature while educating about the importance of keeping forests in a healthy balance.

The secret garden filled with mist

Just like stepping into another world... Avatar maybe

Next, the Flower Dome was absolutely bursting with color and plants from all over the world.

Baobabs!!!!!!!!!

Luckily the Little Prince was not here to dig all of them up ;)

RELAX.

Update: The hotel I stayed in was New Majestic Hotel and the cafe is Nylon coffee roasters.. In my opinion one of the best coffees in Singapore.

Tea in a hot bath... Lovely boutique hotel

Not to forget a delicious cuppa coffee
Happy weekend folks xx

Happy birthday Singapore!

My friend managed to get me tickets to this year's National Day parade & it was such an eye-opening experience! I wish all Singaporeans could get to see it at least once in their lives.

Lots of fireworks!

And a great performance of military precision, roaring planes, songs, dances, lights...

And a great finale! xx

Hope yours was just as relaxing! x

L'Etoile café

My friend brought me to this new cafe near his office which totally captured my heart with its japanese & french influences. We chatted a while to the owner & she was so sweet. I love how alot of indie cafes are opening up around Singapore, & most of their owners, like this one, were previously doing something totally different.

My perfect cup of latte.

Have a good weekend, wherever you are xx

Fireworks

The Marina Bay Sands hotel - a Singaporean masterpiece.

After dinner, we took a walk along the bayfront where we joined thousands of Singaporeans waiting to see the fireworks. We marveled at how Singapore's skyline seemed to be changing ever so quickly.

Lovely!
