What a difference a season makes.
Summer came hard with the sun scorching & flocks of tourists descending upon Paris in a flurry.
At the Jardin des Tuileries, where I found a little respite... Paris had become almost insupportable.
Summer flats for walking... until I decided I had to boycott the city for a while.
Alfresco at St Germain-en-laye... I love it when it is 9pm & still light out.
I always fall head over heels for a good tomato & mozzarella salad. The pesto, the balsamic vinaigrette, the fresh basil... could anything be more simple & delicious?
Long morning coffees... I could not muster the courage to brave the crowds before a satisfying dose of caffeine. But I think soaring temperatures with rowdy tourists can be charming too, if only for the short-lived burst of energy & chatter & excitement that only the summer months can bring.
And a basket of purses ready for the shop.
wishing you a sweet summer ahead xx
